From Facebook:
Just moments after the ceasefire, there is new horror in Gaza:
Hamas has emerged from their sewers and are doing what they do best: terrorizing people. They’re executing Palestinians in public displays of nihilistic brutality —
Young men are bound and dragged through the streets, shot — their blood and brains soaking the earth.
Not since October 7 have we seen such calculated mayhem.
This is the reality of life under Hamas in Gaza.
Yes, the war was devastation — cities reduced to rubble, tens of thousands killed in Israeli airstrikes, including too many children. That is true.
But now, in what could have been the fragile quiet of a ceasefire — a time to build, to heal — Hamas is killing their own.
This is nothing new.
For years, Hamas has terrorized Palestinians: dragging so-called collaborators through the streets tied to cars, their bodies left in the dust to rot.
This horror is one reason so few dared to tell Israel where the hostages were. Gazans know what happens to anyone who speaks out — they die in the most gruesome ways imaginable.
Today, people in Gaza are begging the international community to intervene. And instead of mass anti-Hamas protests, instead of flotillas bringing aid that Hamas won’t steal, there’s only silence.
Deafening, profound silence. Nary an Instagram post calling for Hamas to stop.
Greta and Roger and Susan and Mark and all the good white saviors who claimed to care about Palestinian lives have bitterly moved on.
And we know why: because they can’t blame Israel this time.
Gazans have suffered enough. The devastation of this war is unfathomable.
But we must face an inconvenient truth: unless Jews are involved, the world does not care.
So — we in Israel must care:
We have to find ways to help Gazans now that we have a ceasefire and the last living hostages are home.
The international community is doing nothing. And they’ll continue to do nothing. And this vast, uncaring nothingness will only fuel more chaos, more bloodshed, and ultimately more danger for both Gazans and Israelis alike.
It shouldn’t be our responsibility to save Gaza from Hamas.
But if no one else cares — we must. Not through war or retaking the strip but SOMEHOW.
Because the well-being of Israel depends on theirs. Our futures are bound together. |
