Crazy, huh? Only a few weeks ago high temperature records were falling across BC. IThis kind of unprecedented variability that is causing so many problems.

I have posted quite a bit around the droughts in BC, especially in the northeast. Now Dawson Creek has had to declare a state of emergency.

They've been getting their water from a river 10 km away for over 80 years, but the water levels have dropped so low they are going to have to quickly build a temporary pipeline to the Peace River 50 km away, likely followed by a permanent pipeline.

I expect we'll be hearing more stories like this from various parts of BC in the coming years.
