Trump apparently rejected giving Ukraine Tomahawks - Axios is reporting.

Good thing that Trump had a call with Putin yesterday, because it is hard to get a anything resembling "reason" in Washington DC.

Tomahawk is a nuclear capable weapon, so any one flying to Russia could be nuclear. Putin probably had to explain to Trump how this escalates the stakes in the war - and does it completely unnecessarily. All, risk, no gain from it.

It would also end the US role as a mediator.
