i think it is a matter of perspective. If you look back at 2019, Apple was in dire need of 5G modems, Qualcomm did have leverage then.

IMHO, question would be, just like last time, if Apple is allowed, without possible punitive damages to stop paying royalties till the dispute is resolved. That would put pressure on Qualcomm. No matter what we think, market still think Qualcomm stock price through Apple lenses.

I agree with you that they paying certain% for 8 years will weigh against them. They could argue to jury, if it comes that. We didn't any of our tech, hence it was fair that price, but since now we have invested billions and developed out own tech, its not fair to pay the same. If court allows them to make that argument, then some juror may be swayed to this "poor Apple" victimization argument. INAL though....

I am not saying all of this is true or I support it. But this is what is weighing on investors; mind. And I don't know, if or how forceful argument Qualcomm is making to investors. Obviously, you don't see anything in the public...
