Wow, impressive a high IQ clown like you dug that deep. Jay is a noted collector whose collection is greater than your net worth. I briefly met him at an Audemars Piguet event in the city many years ago. AP's former CEO had the smart marketing idea to bring Jay in as a brand ambassador. Let me guess... you've never met Jay-Z, have you? Unsure if he's still a brand ambassador but doubt he ever sold his favorite AP's because he doesn't have to.

He's an astute collector with great taste. He was hustled once on a fake Rolex Daytona calendar model, as was noted collector Eric Clapton on a similar watch who I think has since auctioned off much of his collection for charity.

Jay tells a great story early from his AP ambassador days where think it was at Aspen, and he came off the slopes in his ski gear and walked into the AP dealer there. Two flaky old white buns, that may or may not resemble you, are chatting over a timepiece on the display counter. They realize his presence, and the salesman asks, can I help you help you young man? Nah, just looking Jay says. Then he pulls up one ski jacket sleeve to reveal some uber complicated and rare AP timepiece, and their eyes start popping out of their heads! Then they all just chatted about watches for a bit. :-)
