IDF Strikes Across Gaza After Armed Militants Attack Israeli Forces in Rafah Netanyahu said he has instructed Israel's defense minister and top defense officials to 'act forcefully against terror targets in the Gaza Strip' following the clash, while Hamas said it was not connected to the attack on Israeli troops in the area and reiterated its commitment to the cease-fire Haaretz It was expected after Israel armed Palestinian militias inside Gaza over the last three months to make sure the war could continue. The non-Hamas militias served the dual purpose of preventing civilians from accessing what little humanitarian aid gets through and manufacturing a more robust enemy one year after the IDF assessed Hamas no longer had a structured military force. Also would not be surprised if IDF is using tactics used by the US in Iraq to conduct false flag attacks and spread disinformation to spur an internecine conflict among Palestinians. The US is calling the rival militias they armed "civilians".
