"Something terrible will happen to gold" Ok I will buy into that - but when? Lets say the USA wants to crush gold- they create a pile more paper gold and start shorting the crap out of it. Lets also figure in banks and the likes of GS get in on the efforts to drive the price down - what will other nations do? And I keep asking myself "what would the price of gold be if the USA had not restricted it for over a hundred years?"
