Hello everyone,

I've been following this thread for several months, but had yet to post until now. I had an opportunity to visit the newest location in Tyson's Corner near DC on Sunday afternoon.

My wife and I arrived around 12:30 and parked next to the Rainforest Cafe van. It's a full size Ford completely covered with foliage and animals (and logos) -- a rolling billboard from Minn. There was a lot of foot traffic in and around the retail store and they had Disney-like ropes in the mall corridor for the initial line. After a 15 minute wait, we were told we would be called in another 10 minutes. It ended up being about 20, plus another 10 to get seated; total wait was about 45 minutes.

I talked to the girl seating us and she seemed impressed with the training they had received, especially the fact the folks at the top, including the developer of the concept, were directly involved. They had just opened on Thursday. I was impressed with the efficiency of the operation after only 3 days. The customers seemed amazed by the environment once seated. It really was fascinating. The food was excellent. All in all, an great experience. When we left, the crowd outside was bigger and the time given at sign-up was 30 minutes.

I'll give some additional observations about the Mall itself when time permits.

Regards,

Bill
