I recently turned 70. At this point in my life, it is far more important to avoid losing money (preserve capital) than it is to make money (Capital gains). In this paradigm I consider the dividends/distributions, @ a 3.6% yield, as a constant.

Analog to the above statement is: Why take the risk, in the autumn of my years, when one doesn't need to.
