the people who bought the lots don't own them if the crown didn't have the right to sell the lots in the first place. The courts will have to sort that out. In the mean time, gov't will drag that one out for decades, and home owners will be left in limbo with an unsellable property, or worse, mortgages on property with uncertain title and no liquidity.
