In related commentary, let's not lose sight of the fact that official government reports on the state of the US economy are delayed owing to the government shutdown. From those when available, I expect continuing bad news on jobs, and the upward trajectory of inflationary pressures. If I am correct, metals prices and related stocks could regain lost ground in an instant.
