Inode,
Clearly, it is in American interests to bolster Argentina's situation.
Clearly it is not.

Argentina has already made a deal to sell soybeans to China. This is costing American soybean farmers:

China’s soybean imports surge as orders to US hit zero, and South America is cashing in (South China Morning Post)

Meanwhile the Argentinian peso has resumed its downward slide even after the currency swap was announced. No one wants the peso, Inode. Even as Argentina is ramping up agricultural exports, it isn't enough to shore up their own currency.

That's a sign that the Argentinian economy is going through a period of weakness.

While you can argue that we have strategic geopolitical interests in bailing out Argentina, this is the very OPPOSITE of "America First." We are risking $40B of taxpayer money, all so that Trump can meddle in the politics of other nations.

Of course to you and the other MAGA cultists, what's good for Trump is good for America. Trump is the only agency with any legitimacy in your eyes.
