Personally would not trust any kit aircraft, as clever as they may sound. The electric motor idea is interesting. Am sure you've seen multiple E-VTOL taxi startups already testing around the world. They sound interesting on paper but am not anxious to be an early customer or user!

If you wanted to go in another direction you could go old school like "Mad Dog" Murdock in the original A-Team TV series. Couldn't find any clips of that so this will have to suffice, an old design autogyro.
