Yes, and that sort of nonsense is why I avoid "the news". There will be zero soybean that goes to waste. When it over, what isn't sold is stored which means it will be sold later when the price better suits the sellers.

How is it you think suddenly, the demand for soybean has dropped? You think China needs less because Trump put a tariff on it? All that does is to increase the world wide price of Soybean. They'll just buy it somewhere else and other people will buy from us rather than China.

Soybean, just like oil, is a fungible market. There is disruption to the markets, but it doesn't create a crisis.

Global markets prevent chaos; but the struggle to minimize disruption of pricing is still a pain in the ass.

The world will not run out of soybean.
