The entire Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to utilize the Exynos 2600 processor. The information comes from Jukan, a tipster, and it’s not the first time that we’ve heard that rumor.

Half of the Galaxy S26 series will use the Exynos 2600, including the ‘Ultra’Now, do note that this doesn’t mean that Samsung will use the Exynos 2600 exclusively. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will still be a part of the picture, and likely in the ‘for Galaxy’ version as in the past.

For example, Samsung will likely reach for that chip in the US, at least for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but it could be for the entire Galaxy S26 lineup. It really remains to be seen, we cannot be sure at this point.

In the past, Samsung used its Exynos chips mostly in Europe and some other regions. It remains to be seen if that will be the case this time around as well.

As a reminder, one of Samsung’s Galaxy S ‘Ultra’ phones did not use an Exynos chip since 2022. The tipster did say that the Exynos 2600 share in the Galaxy S26 lineup will be “around 50%”. So roughly half of Galaxy S26 phones will use that chip.

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is expected to arrive in January next year, even though a wild rumor suggested that the devices may launch in March. The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra are expected, based on the latest information. The Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra were expected before that. It remains to be seen which naming structure will Samsung opt for.

That detail alone hints that we’ll see the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 used in the US, Japan, and China, like in the past, though we’re only guessing.

The Exynos 2600 is expected to offer excellent NPU and GPU performance
We’ve covered some interesting Exynos 2600 info from the same source recently. Jukan shared the Exynos 2600 performance details, and they’re… great. It will allegedly utilize an NPU that is 6x stronger than what the Apple A19 Pro uses.

That chip is also said to offer a 14% higher multi-core CPU performance and a 75% higher GPU performance. When compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the NPU performance is expected to be around 30% higher, and GPU performance around 29% higher, based on what the tipster shared.
