2 MUX charts: This smack down was not isolated, it looks like profit taking has now set in, this is a coordinated take down of gold and silver, it has nothing to do with fundamentals.
At the close MUX lost 12.21% ($2.75). CDE and EXK led the group lower. Typically, most of the selling comes from ETF's and hedge funds, all the stocks on the my list belong to the GDX and/or GDXJ.



MUX opened just below the lower pivot at $20.19, managing a 17¢ gain before selling off sharply. The $20.21 line is now resistance and the 20-day-ema could be a target at $18.85. What a mess this chart turned into over the past few trading days. All the moving averages are still intact but if the 20-day fails, the 50-day could be a target if a turn around fails.
