I hate to say it, but I believe the Dems should put the country back in business, but they should heavily advertise that they're doing so based on the Replican's saying they'll truly negotiate on medical care for American citizens.
I think they should advertise what you had prior to the Big Bill, and contrast it with what you have now, if no changes are made, and then what you'll have after whatever changes are agreed to are passed.
Let's challenge the Republican's to be people of their words. Let's let the people get their new health insurance bills and see what they think about that.
I believe the Democrat's also should take out commercials that let Trump speak to the earnings from his tariffs, then clearly explain that foreign countries don't pay these billions, the company importing the product pays when it arrives, then they pass on the cost to the American people, and very probably have some added profit built in as well. It's the American way.
My dad's factory-made framed pictures of all types and ultimately included fiberglass sculptures and original oils. If the price of what went into a particular product went up by a nickel, the price was adjusted up a dime. The middleman handling their product would then raise it by $.20 and by the time it was sold in a retail store it probably would be marked up by $1. That's the American way.
To me, the dumbest thing politicians do is raise the tax on a beer or alcoholic beverage by a few cents to a dime. What self-respecting bar or restaurant owner isn't going to raise their price by a quarter, half-dollar, or a buck knowing that more is being paid in taxes. A successful bar is the key to most restaurants, good food won't do the job if they're not selling it with wine or other alcoholic beverages.
It's American's paying Trump's tariffs, and if other countries are putting tariffs on products from America, it's their people who're paying those tariffs. I think the Democrats need to get that message out loud and proud. Trump cut the taxes for billionaires, but all of us are paying more for nearly all imported products and the added money we're paying is going to the Govt. If you like lettuce, tomato, etc when it's out of season for US grown product, you're paying for his tariff. The people need to understand what's going on.
Trump may say the millionaires and billionaires pay it too, most of those I know don't eat any more of it than I do, though perhaps it's a slightly higher grade for some.
