I was on the phone last week chatting with a hedge fund quant. I said, "Stocks have only two modes, trending and mean reverting. All you have to do is figure out which mode their in."

He paused for a second, then cracked up laughing.

We are in a mean reversion mode this week. We'll see how long it lasts.

I have a lot of cash to take advantage of the "regime change" as it may. Not happy about it. But it is what it is.
My only consolation prize is that I'm up way more than ARKG and dropped half as much. So my biotech trash are doing well. But I am not competing with her. I just want better returns.
