A lot of the metals cheerleaders when there's a pullback like this scream manipulation. The paper market is big compared to physical, but seems it had to be some bigger?

A better explanation maybe ...prices reach extremes ...suppliers sell forward to lock in prices and reduce risk for some production. It would be imprudent not to. Then some hot money follows.

Miners get hit hard in proportion twice because 1) they are denting future profitability some and 2) the possibility in "investors" minds that higher prices are not the new norm.

I don't think any fundamentals driving the metals have changed in the near term, but it would be a bit shocking if the correction ended here. Would be atypical. HUI has a way of searching out the 200 dma. Hope it doesn't get there.
