Yeah, but Haseltine should have to pull his foot out of his mouth again, not that he will. The guy sure doesn't seem to have much vision. The article sure makes it sound like HGS is ahead in the genomics game because they have a drug in clinicals, but forgetting to note that the others are not trying to be drug companies that they are genomics companies. Clueless reporter as usual, but it's nice to see INCY's name in the press. I do like the word though: Pharmacogenomics.

As far as genetic privacy, I expect state and federal legislation to give some protection in this area eventually, with California being one of the leaders of course. Damn insurance companies only want to insure people who will pay premiums but not have to have money spent on them - a total perversion of the concept of spreading risk amongst a group. If the government wasn't so inept at running organizations I would favor making health care insurance a national right, but the feds would certainly screw it up and probably impede all innovation and set medicine back by decades.
