Tell me next year when you've traded options for 1 year if that is still true.

I've traded options for 20 years and it's still really hard to make profits consistently. Theyre more like gambling than investing. However, they do have their place and help provide low cost "insurance" if used correctly.

Make no mistake though, long or short options are just a bet on direction and magnitude against time.

I don't care if you buy or sell, if it's puts or calls, it makes no difference. It's tough.
