I'm not the only one who thinks a wealth tax would be a good idea.

This lunatic proposed a one-time 14.5% wealth tax.

Granted, he doesn't understand how ANYTHING works with regard to our economy, but he's on record as proposing it.

I think an annual 1/10 of 1% would be a sustainable, barely noticeable way to help finance the government.

Assuming all our investments increased at the current T-Bill rate of 4%, 1/10 of one percent would reduce our return from 4% to 3.9%.

We can afford it, especially when you consider our investments often far exceed that 4%.

For the ultra-wealthy, it would mean we could gold-plate one less wall ornament.

Or buy one less gaudy watch for our collection.

No big deal.
