We will see if Altera alone will turn out to be more or less competitive that under Intel. There was one tidbit in the CC, that Altera margins were higher, and then after separation, that would affect Intel margins negatively (Altera not contributing). There was also something about Fab utilization / useage that I did note catch. re: I'm short 290 and 340 calls for December 17 or 19th. Just over 10% in total. Where oh where could AMD be in a couple of years? We have earnings and Financial Analyst Day coming up. Both will be newsworthy, one way or the other - more hype or selloff on the news.
