Police estimated attendence at about 20,000 people who came from across the province of Alberta. Various polls estimate that only about 35% of Albertans support independence at this time, however, it is the 35% of Albertans that are undecided that matter. (note that 75% of UCP members are in favour of independence). If Carney's upcoming budget is about "climate resiliency" being the underlying investment principle in building and modernizing Canada's economy, it may well be what motivates undecided Albertans to support independence.
