Interesting talk with my Honda pilot friend. He was a physics major and he said now that he knows what the technology is, it makes sense. There is no dye. That amazed him. He said it means that this technology actually controls light by absorbing the spectrum, not some tint. He went on about LC using polarizers or color filters.

Seeing our technology thru the the eyes of not only a user, but someone who understands the amazing way SPD works, gives me a new sense of confidence for the future.

I agree with Suntanner that architectural will enable costs to come down just given the enormity of the market and the fact that we have Black SPD, not a tinted black SPD. (Pilot also said he was blown away by the ability to absorb more blue light than the one in his jet).

Sadly, he's moving to Tennessee so I won't be seeing him. What an interesting guy. Yesterday my brother walked with him to our corral. to see our horses He talked about riding horses in Afghanistan. These were military-trained horses. He said when the horses hear a shot they immediately flop over and lay on the ground. Said it happens so fast he almost can't get off. He then explained why the horses did that. It was so they could drop down behind the horses to use them as cover. Said no one he knew would ever actually do that. These horses are amazing in the terrain of Afghanistan and he said that they know they owe them their lives. Great guy!
