Back in the good old day of the first 15 years of this century, there was nobody Rat fought with more than Brumar. He was a Reagan conservative, and I'm a New Deal-McGovern Dem. We fought over guns, taxes, abortions, climate change, whatever. Rat's still banned on his energy/climate thread, but he's not banned on mine.

Things changed in '16. I wasn't sure I wouldn't be banned after one post, but I kept it on topic, and he didn't mind. We had 2 things in common; our understanding of the Constitution and our history, and our Cold War perspective of Russia/USSR, and we became allies. I gained a lot of respect for as he battled with the magafecalists on FAMD; didn't take me very long to stop calling him Bummer.

I wish we could have gotten back to arguing over issues.
