The five finalists for the next Federal Reserve chair are Fed Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle Bowman, Fed Governor Christopher Waller, White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, former Fed Governor Kevin Warsh, and BlackRock fixed income CIO Rick Rieder. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who is overseeing the selection process, is expected to conduct another round of interviews before presenting a final recommendation to the President.

  • Michelle Bowman: Current Vice Chair for Supervision at the Fed.
  • Christopher Waller: Current Governor on the Fed's board.
  • Kevin Hassett: Director of the White House National Economic Council.
  • Kevin Warsh: Former Governor of the Federal Reserve.
  • Rick Rieder: Chief Investment Officer of Global Fixed Income at BlackRock
