President Reagan just placed tariffs on Japan
... after consulting with his eminently qualified staff after they had made an in-depth study on the cause of one particular trade imbalance. That tariff resulted in the leveling of that imbalance, and it supported American interests and industry.

The tariff Reagan placed was well thought out, and as a result, it worked in our best interests.

That's a stark contrast to Trump's impulsive, poorly thought out and un-researched tariffs, which have now resulted in all US soybean farmers losing their entire market, which will put them in bankruptcy and will result in them losing their farms.

Can you see the difference?
