Unfortunately this could take longer than expected.

RuZZians can survive a bitter cold winter. They'll tolerate long gas lines. They view all of the shit they're going through as temporary bumps that come and go like the wind.

No matter what, though, their status as a superpower is long gone. RuZZia is now nothing more than a gigantic North Korea. No one wants to invest in RuZZia anymore. Even India and China are only using RuZZia for cheap oil.

However, it would be much, much better for NATO to speed up that outcome than to simply wait it out.

As for the Trump factor, well, the Father of all PooTin cucks already tried to give Vladdie the best out possible, but Vladdie refused. So much for Peace In Our Time 2.0.
