CALM. Yes, shortage of eggs (Bird Flu related) raised US egg prices.

CALM business strategy is this (JMO):
When times are good distribute dividends to stockholders.
When times are bad, cut or eliminate dividends. Use available cash (keeping ltd minimal) to acquire small egq producers who are faltering.

regarding: "Everybody needs eggs!" Not so much eggs for me, but I am a big consumer of egg whites for protein.
