It maybe different with SPY options, but I pretty much don't like trading options because the bid-ask spread and the execution delays and often the liquidity issues chew up too much of my gains and amplify my losses. With futures, and with liquid stocks and ETFs I can give market orders and not think twice about it. Not so with options.
