Depending on the futures contract and time of day, liquidity could vary, making bid/ask spreads crazy wide sometimes. Some futures other than the ES or NQ have very low volume, particularly in commodities.

You have to trade high volume futures at the busy time of the trading day for that issue to get the good bid/ask spreads. If you don't do that, it's basically a ream-o-rama on you.
