I posted at the start, the only way this ends is in the streets. Trump and his minions are in the same position as every authoritarian winds up in sooner or later.

They either win big or flameout spectacularly. There is no graceful handoff of power and retirement to obscurity. With the way they delight in running roughshod over their opponents, real and imagined, they are laying the groundwork for a Reign of Terror equivalent. Look what happened to Saddam, just to choose one recent example of the results of taking great joy in crushing others.
