What you say makes perfect sense. My folks albums have some of those too, and I have purged them also. My kids are the same as yours in that little from our family's past interests them, but they didn't have a lot that was interesting anyway. My wife's jewelry is all the girls are interested in and they are already dividing that up between themselves, with my wife not even being close (hopefully) to giving up the ghost.
