Does anyone know what a downward vertical line on an after-hours stock chart means? Taken literally, it would mean that some people sold the stock, and others bought it, at a price several percentage points below market price--and that the stock immediately returned back up to its previous market price and stayed there for the rest of the after-hours market time. I can see why people would buy it there. But I can't understand why people would sell it there--far below market price.
