Sotherly is being acquired. I suspect that is why they killed the divi.

I was reading quite a discussion on Tim's board innovativeincomeinvestor.com

Personally, If I still owned any Sotherly preferreds, I would be looking for the exit. It sounds like the buyer is taking the company private and wants to keep the preferreds outstanding. There have been enough times where that has not played out well for preferred holders that I don't see taking more risk for no more compensation (I have no idea of the history of this buyer, but in general...)
