Un exemple récent est Equinox Greenstone mine. Le pit principal; Greenstone ainsi que 3 pits satellites font parti du Technical report. La mine est en opération depuis 1 an environ.

Il est grandement possible que PRB priviligie un seul pit en phase 1 et prévoit des expansions de la mill. S'ils ne sont pas achetés avant. Un plus gros producteur ira de l'avant avec un plus gros moulin dès le départ je pense.
