Today MA came out with an earnings report that beat on both the top and bottom lines. I would have expected a nice price move to the upside today and yet it is slightly green.

HWM beat on the top and bottom lines but lowered guidance, yet it is up more than MA.

The condition of the market looks to me as coming from butterflies in the stomach flying in formation to where now they are all aflutter.

I was going to front-run earnings on GILD as they announce after the close, but now I'm going to sit on my hands.

Since I invest based on the condition of the market, and I don't have any clear certainty of market direction, tomorrow I will be adding to many staples and then add to many CEF's for income.

Defense and Income is tomorrow's focus.
