Regarding AOC; No way a candidate can win in the US promising tax increases to businesses and middle-high salaried workers. Or savers. Her focus on income inequality is truly good - but you have to get there somehow outside substantial tax increses. Which of course isn't fair because our right-wing communist tax system does socially engineer wealth to the rich; but politics are reality. She would need to reframe as tax-fairness reforms, I don't see it happening (but hope springs eternal I wouldn't have predicted Toronto being a game away from the World Series. :-) Also AOC IMHO will need to reframe her foreign policy rhetoric in ways that will lose the left to win the middle. Carving out criminal justice reforms in a way that doesn't say "Defund the Police" will also be a vulnerability and challenge.
