The only way to upgrade an i-line stepper or scanner is to replace ALL of the illumination optics and all energy monitor systems. I doubt it is possible. But, customers are looking to replace their 4000 series Cymer lasers (600Hz)for the 5000 series lasers (1000Hz). Thats a lot of upgrade money for Cymer.
