I think biotech is going to do far better than anyone expects.

People always have great difficulty adjusting to and seeing fundamental change. Then tendency is to see the future through rearview mirror.

But I think this is a new era of biotech because advances in genomics, computational biology, and AI are improving the odds for biotech success much better than they have every been.

It is of course, still risky. But if someone told me 20 years ago that an injection could make a blind man see for the first time, grow natural teeth, cure diabetes or help someone with genetic disorders live a normal life I would have told him his been watching too much Star Trek. But today, some of these have already happened and the rest are within reach.
