Good trip. Istanbul to Rome. Included Ephesus, Rhodes, Crete, Athens, Sicily, Naples and Rome. I mainly went for the history excursions myself. I think Herculaneum was my favorite. We also did a Rome Extension and explored.

One of their ocean ships which carry 930 vs thousands on some others. I prefer the river trips overall - this was a chance to see some places without doing a European train ride. The river boats dock much closer to towns so it's much easier to just get off the boat and go explore. Plus they have less water time compared to time in port, or at least do compared with this trip. Food was good and the service excellent,

The only real negative was this: cruise.blog

Sort of put a bit of a damper on things, certainly for that day and every now and then I'd think about it.
