trump is making this ballroom the focal point of the White House and IMO that is wrong.

His ballroom will dwarf the White House.

Even if we needed something new it does not need to be this big, I don't think the East Wing needed to be torn down to make way for it.

The White House is really a residence and offices where the President works, it shouldn't be the place with the best dance floor in town.

Since when did it turn in to a place that has the need for a three hundred million dollar ballroom.

For all these years the WH has been able to hold state dinners of 120 - 200 people which is a decent sized state dinner. On the rare occasion where they held a bigger event they used a temporary tent which I agree isn't the most ideal option but a gilded barn with seating for a 1000 is equally not an ideal option.

All this is just my opinion of course.
