Max, I'm glad your wife has fully recovered, but I can't imagine all the stress you and your wife had to go through, just to get the insurance to pay their part.

Re. I can't imagine how those less fortunate than us must deal with these huge numbers. From what I am reading here, things are only getting worse.

Yes, me neither, but as more and more people can't afford to pay or are not insured, the cost of healthcare will keep going up. It's nuts ,and I don't see any hope on the horizon for things to improve anytime soon. I even hear that medicare premiums have been going up as well (though I don't know for sure).
