I wonder if the problems finding money making use for AI is that there isn’t enough demand from businesses.

A few days ago I wanted to find an AI platform to research some things. I was surprised how many AI web sites emphasized their ability to create computer and cell phone “applications”. Not one said they can help manufacture widgets - or do other practical things.

In Asia - notably in China - they have AI run huge seaports, which automatically unload ships. They have mines - without a single human working underground.

I submit that as soon as our geniuses stop writing so many computer games - and instead, open productive businesses - AI will become profitable.

Here’s an illustration of what they call “dark factories” - meaning, machines can easily work in the dark. They feel that without AI they simply cannot compete in the marketplace.
