Welcome to the pool, Mang. I am one who has owned Atmel for a couple of years now (I think) and have watched the stock move in a volatile fashion a number of times; there is a guy named Steve who used to be on this thread who seemed to make a lot of money on it by playing an options system. I just am not that big an investor. I now own Atmel at a price of about 28 after selling some covered calls on it a while back, and I have been disappointed with its performance (and with my own inability to pull the trigger and sell it when it raced into the high 40's a while back. I am hopeful that the company will be strong enough to pull through this Asian crisis and recover its former favor with the investing public, but I do not expect that it will be soon (in the next few months); I expect that I will be buying it by dollar cost averaging over the next few months with the expectation that over the long term, my faith in the company will be rewarded. Good luck to all shareholders.
