That's still pretty bad.
Sure, I'm not sure how it became my place to pay for solving this problem. I do think Gates is entirely free to solve the problem, if he so chooses. But demanding that taxpayers who live on multiple orders of magnitude less money, should not be chided at all for choosing to stay this fray.

I contribute what I can to charities of my choice. I should not be forced by government to "contribute" to other causes. That is not "contributing" at all, in fact. That is confiscating money that I've worked hard to get control over.
