You don't seem to realize that the people here at SI are VERY unrepresentative of the general population. Fortunately most people have not been brainwashed by oil and gas company propaganda. Rather, they listen to the scientists and accept that climate change is real and caused by human action.

For instance, recent polling in Canada puts the number at between 60 and 80%, which is remarkably high given how many in parts of the country make their living in the oil and gas industires.

Again, I will point out the essential difference between us.

You start with a conclusion and ignore any evidence that contradicts that conclusion. Your attitude is therefore immutable and will never change even if you are the victim of a weather event engendered by climate change.

OTOH, I start with the evidence and draw my conclusions from that evidence, so if the evidence changes, my opinions will too.
