Turning an asset write down into a future benefit is creative.

Not sure where the deferred tax assets was derived but I suspect it was related to an acquisition. In this case cash likely went out the door with the expectation of it coming back at some point in the future via lower taxes.

As to Alternative Minimum Taxes being a future savings given what I know about AMT that's a bogus take too. Minimum taxes is to ensure some tax is paid even if one has paid taxes within other jurisdictions.

The most important call here though is that of Qualcomm's Chinese anti-trust investigation being terminated. I know there was a general comment as to investigations being terminated but has anyone confirmed the the specific Qualcomm investigation got cancelled? I've yet to see anything out of Qualcomm or elsewhere as to this specific call.

Given Arduino closed this QTR, can one figure anything as to what they paid, goodwill accrued and hard asset additions that came with that acquisition. Some details must have been reported or at least derivable via comparison with last QTR financials.
