Welp, my HYSA finally dipped below 4% this week, going to 3.9%. The online bank is CFG and I have been a member since Nov, 2022. When I put the money there the APY was 3.86%, at its high it was 5.25% and here were are at 3.9%. It was constantly a rate leader for savings accounts (probably still is, I dont monitor anymore). I used to post a summary over at SA blog of my top consistent rate leader banks.

Obviously I/we knew this was coming, but I always said I will wait to decide something when the yield drops below 4%. We are here.

About 4 months ago I opened a position in USFR (WisdomTree Floating Rate Treasury Fund ETF) and dropped about 45% of my cash there.

What are we all thinking about cash these days? I know a lot have SGOV, my wife has it. I think it matches my USFR so should I just move it over? Cash needs to be secure. Not interested in putting this money at risk in equities.

I saw this on another site. Barclays/AARP, 4.4% HYSA, plus $200 if over $25K and mine would be. I am currently an AARP member because I wanted their free gift to renew...lol

Any experience with it?
